About the RoleAs a General Manager, you will direct Cherry's products within existing core verticals and spearhead the launch of Cherry's products into new verticals. Our mission is to become the leading provider of patient financing across all core verticals.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end experience and performance of Cherry within different verticals. To become the industry-leader and capture the majority of the patient financing market, it's vital that we deeply understand our customers and their vertical-specific needs.
You will figure out how to acquire, retain, and delight both practices and patients. This will require you to work across every function at Cherry to build a cohesive experience, including Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, Risk and Finance.
Responsibilities- Do deep research into the experience of practices within Cherry
- Identify and solve points of friction in Cherry's product offering and business operations
- Understand the competitive landscape and ensure Cherry is best-in-class
- Define the plan for how Cherry gets to majority market share
- Coordinate across Sales, Product, Marketing, Risk, etc. to successfully deploy impactful initiatives
- Own metrics such as lifetime value per practice, total transaction volume, market share, and net promoter score (NPS)
- Deep-dive into all communications sent to practices from marketing, sales, and product to ensure that they tell a coherent story and are not overwhelming
- Collect and organize user feedback to create a prioritized roadmap for product and organizational improvements
- Work with Sales and Product to develop compelling collateral to highlight the best and most important aspects about Cherry
Example Initiatives- Cherry primarily serves dental practices with at most 4 locations. You will develop our strategy and execution for how and when to sell into larger practices and prioritize which segments to tackle first.
- Some competitors approve further down on the credit spectrum. Determine if this is strategically important and the impact of going into that patient population. Work with Product, Risk, and Capital Markets to build the necessary infrastructure to enter that market. Work with Sales and Marketing to go to market successfully
- Cherry does not currently have a product built specifically for chiropractors. Determine whether we should launch into Chiropractics and if so, create a minimum viable product with a small Sales team and go sell Cherry to chiropractors.
Qualifications- Someone who can wear a lot of hats such as sales, product, business operations, and strategy
- Experience finding 0-1 product-market fit as a startup founder or early employee
- You like to roll up your sleeves and live the life of your users to develop a deep empathy for their problems
- Able to do basic spreadsheet modeling for developing a scaling and profitability model
