POSITION SUMMARY: The General Manager is accountable for the full operational performance of their LVK Logistics facility, serving as the on-site leader responsible for people, process, and results. This is a hands-on leadership role embedded in a high-velocity 3PL fulfillment environment. The General Manager owns all aspects of site operations, including receiving and put away, inventory management and control, same-day order fulfillment, returns management, and environmental health and safety compliance. Performance is measured against four network-wide pillars: On-Time Processing, Inventory Accuracy, Error and Refund Reduction, and Labor Management.
The General Manager thrives in a high-urgency, technology-enabled environment and leads with a continuous improvement mindset. This role manages one of seven LVK Logistics facilities across the U.S. and Canadian network. The GM operates as both a site leader and a network contributor - sharing best practices, participating in cross-site initiatives, and helping build the operational foundation required for long-term network scalability.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages within the guidelines of company policies and procedures, best practices, and provincial employment standards, maintaining clear and open communication with leadership.
- Establishes performance goals to ensure that the required level of productivity, accuracy, quality, cost, and organizational objectives are met.
- Ensure that regular general meetings, team member events, and engagement programs are in place and effectively implemented.
- Builds positive employee relations and leads team member initiatives to create and promote an environment where team members are involved and committed to the business's success through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensures supervisors and staff members are well-trained and motivated to support the requirements of customer contracts and the company's direction.
- Recognizes team member performance by providing regular individual and team feedback utilizing management reporting tools and observations.
- Actively works on succession planning by selecting, developing, and training operations managers, supervisors, team leaders, and support team members.
- Ensures that onboarding and training programs are in place to ensure that all team members receive the necessary information and training to become quickly effective in their jobs.
- Actively promotes open communications through individual, shift, and team meetings to promote an informed and aligned workforce.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities of the Position: - Overall responsibility for operational excellence of all warehouse processes.
- Oversees inventory procedures and systems accuracy to ensure all inventory KPIs are met.
- Ensures facility maintenance contracts are in place and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe.
- Ensures team member compliance with quality assurance standards required to maintain a food-safe warehouse.
- Seeks ways to collaborate with peers to compare best practices.
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional leadership, including IT, Finance, Engineering, Project Management Team, and Human Resources.
- Resolves exceptions to operations and maintains contingency plans for operational interruptions such as systems issues, transport issues, inventory concerns, and labor.
- Ensures operations have the required resources and are organized to maximize performance and customer service within a pre-approved budget.
- Provides reporting, analysis, and improvement recommendations on achieving key performance indicators.
- Ensures operational budgets are controlled and can effectively explain all variances.
- Review, approve, and export weekly labor hours for payroll processing.
- Works with their management team to develop and implement business plans to improve financial and service performance year over year.
- Ensures that customer and company KPI reporting is done in a timely and effective manner to accurately and proactively measure the performance requirements for their sites.
- Ensures managers, supervisors, and team members comply with all regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act in their jurisdiction, including safety, violence, and harassment laws.
- Leads and sustains the facility's EHS/safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA, provincial occupational health and safety standards, and LVK network safety protocols; actively works to reduce recordable incidents and insurance exposure.
- Participates in periodic site audits using the LVK Logistics audit framework; closes out findings through documented corrective actions within established timelines.
- Operates as a network contributor by actively engaging in cross-site collaboration with peer GMs to align on best practices, compare performance, and strengthen network-wide operational consistency.
- Partners with the National Director of Operations to develop direct reports and supervisors for advancement; supports succession readiness by actively building team depth one level below their own role.
- Contributes to the 18-month network operational roadmap by surfacing site-level constraints, capacity needs, and improvement opportunities during planning cycles.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:- EDUCATION: A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and progressive warehouse leadership experience will be considered.
- EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum ten (10) years warehouse leadership experience, with five (5) years managerial experience, preferably at an E-commerce Fulfillment company.
- Experience in multi-facility and/or multi-client environments.
- Previous experience with Warehouse Management Information System (WMS).
- SKILLS:
- Operationally strong with sound business judgment obtained through supply chain experience at the managerial level.
- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed performance metrics (KPIs).
- Takes initiative and can implement continuous improvement initiatives that drive financial and service excellence.
- Able to lead change and motivate team members to adopt new methods and practices required to meet changing business needs.

- Systems-savvy and proficient in building operational control tools using Microsoft Excel, data reporting platforms, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Comfortable working within technology-enabled fulfillment environments and leveraging data to drive decisions.
- Uses analytical reasoning to quickly understand and identify issues and propose solutions to solve problems to resolution.
- Working knowledge of EHS and occupational health and safety regulations applicable to multi-jurisdictional warehouse operations, including OSHA (U.S.) and provincial OH&S standards (Canada).
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically - developing team members, identifying operational risks before they surface, and contributing to planning processes beyond the immediate site level.
- Track record of participating in or leading structured performance improvement initiatives with documented results across key fulfillment metrics.
