This is a hands-on leadership role embedded in a high-velocity 3PL fulfillment environment. The General Manager owns all aspects of site operations, including receiving and put away, inventory management and control, same-day order fulfillment, returns management, and environmental health and safety compliance. Performance is measured against four network-wide pillars: On-Time Processing, Inventory Accuracy, Error and Refund Reduction, and Labor Management.

The General Manager thrives in a high-urgency, technology-enabled environment and leads with a continuous improvement mindset. This role manages one of seven LVK Logistics facilities across the U.S. and Canadian network. The GM operates as both a site leader and a network contributor - sharing best practices, participating in cross-site initiatives, and helping build the operational foundation required for long-term network scalability.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Establishes performance goals to ensure that the required level of productivity, accuracy, quality, cost, and organizational objectives are met.
  • Ensure that regular general meetings, team member events, and engagement programs are in place and effectively implemented.
  • Builds positive employee relations and leads team member initiatives to create and promote an environment where team members are involved and committed to the business's success through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures supervisors and staff members are well-trained and motivated to support the requirements of customer contracts and the company's direction.
  • Recognizes team member performance by providing regular individual and team feedback utilizing management reporting tools and observations.
  • Actively works on succession planning by selecting, developing, and training operations managers, supervisors, team leaders, and support team members.
  • Ensures that onboarding and training programs are in place to ensure that all team members receive the necessary information and training to become quickly effective in their jobs.
  • Actively promotes open communications through individual, shift, and team meetings to promote an informed and aligned workforce.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities of the Position:
  • Overall responsibility for operational excellence of all warehouse processes.
  • Oversees inventory procedures and systems accuracy to ensure all inventory KPIs are met.
  • Ensures facility maintenance contracts are in place and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe.
  • Ensures team member compliance with quality assurance standards required to maintain a food-safe warehouse.
  • Seeks ways to collaborate with peers to compare best practices.
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional leadership, including IT, Finance, Engineering, Project Management Team, and Human Resources.
  • Resolves exceptions to operations and maintains contingency plans for operational interruptions such as systems issues, transport issues, inventory concerns, and labor.
  • Ensures operations have the required resources and are organized to maximize performance and customer service within a pre-approved budget.
  • Provides reporting, analysis, and improvement recommendations on achieving key performance indicators.
  • Ensures operational budgets are controlled and can effectively explain all variances.
  • Review, approve, and export weekly labor hours for payroll processing.
  • Works with their management team to develop and implement business plans to improve financial and service performance year over year.
  • Ensures that customer and company KPI reporting is done in a timely and effective manner to accurately and proactively measure the performance requirements for their sites.
  • Ensures managers, supervisors, and team members comply with all regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act in their jurisdiction, including safety, violence, and harassment laws.
  • Leads and sustains the facility's EHS/safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA, provincial occupational health and safety standards, and LVK network safety protocols; actively works to reduce recordable incidents and insurance exposure.
  • Participates in periodic site audits using the LVK Logistics audit framework; closes out findings through documented corrective actions within established timelines.
  • Operates as a network contributor by actively engaging in cross-site collaboration with peer GMs to align on best practices, compare performance, and strengthen network-wide operational consistency.
  • Partners with the National Director of Operations to develop direct reports and supervisors for advancement; supports succession readiness by actively building team depth one level below their own role.
  • Contributes to the 18-month network operational roadmap by surfacing site-level constraints, capacity needs, and improvement opportunities during planning cycles.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
