The Crosby Club, situated in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead one of Southern California's most distinguished private clubs. Reporting to the Troon Vice President, Operations, and aligned with private ownership, the General Manager will drive The Crosby Club's evolution into one of the finest golf clubs in the entire region - combining championship-caliber golf with an unmatched member experience rooted in personalized, anticipatory service.
This leader embodies extreme ownership and a disciplined Balanced Approach across all club pillars. Critically, they bring outstanding communication skills - building candid, trust-based relationships with ownership, members, and associates alike. The ideal candidate is as comfortable on the first tee as in the boardroom: visible, energetic, and deeply invested in the Club's long-term legacy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Healthy Governance & Organizational Clarity:- Serve as the primary liaison between private ownership and club operations, maintaining transparent, proactive, and timely communication at all levels.
- Establish clear operational vision, accountability structures, and decision-making frameworks aligned with ownership objectives and Troon standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, Troon policies, and sound risk management practices.
Leverage Competitive Advantage:- Position The Crosby Club as one of the premier golf and private club experiences in the region, leveraging its storied legacy, championship course, and the exclusivity of Rancho Santa Fe.
- Identify and execute on differentiating opportunities in amenities, programming, and service delivery that create lasting competitive separation.

Retain & Develop Associates:- Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional department leaders and frontline associates committed to service excellence.

- Partner with Troon Human Resources on talent acquisition, succession planning, and associate relations.
Achieve Sales / Brand Growth:- Collaborate with ownership and Troon on membership growth initiatives, ancillary revenue strategies, and brand positioning that reinforces the Club's regional prestige.
- Communicate The Crosby Club's value proposition compellingly to prospective members and key community stakeholders.
Meet Financial Targets:- Own the Club's annual operating and capital budgets - developing, monitoring, and taking swift corrective action when results deviate from plan.
- Provide regular, transparent financial reporting to ownership and Troon's VP, Operations.
- Identify revenue enhancement opportunities across all departments while protecting long-term club assets and financial health.
The Right Leadership:- Lead with extreme ownership - assuming full accountability for member experience, team performance, facility standards, and financial results without exception.
- Communicate with clarity, consistency, and candor across ownership, members, and associates - adapting approach to the audience while maintaining authenticity and trust.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive leadership culminating in a General Manager or senior operating role at a luxury private club, resort, or comparable hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated command of all club operations: golf, food & beverage, agronomy, membership, fitness & wellness, and facility management.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across ownership, members, and associates - with the credibility and presence to thrive in a privately owned environment.
- Proven financial acumen: budgeting, P&L management, labor planning, and performance analysis.
- Track record of elevating member satisfaction, developing high-performing teams, and delivering sustained, balanced operational results.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred. CCM, PGA, or comparable professional certifications strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:- Base Salary: $200,000-$250,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 20% of base salary, tied to annual objectives set by ownership and Troon.
