ROOST Apartment Hotel - Rainey at Paseo | Austin, TX

Position Overview

Method Co. is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead ROOST Rainey at Paseo. This individual will be responsible for the overall performance of the property, including operations, financial results, guest experience, and team leadership. The General Manager will play a critical role in shaping the culture of the property, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the delivery of a consistent, elevated guest experience aligned with the ROOST and Method Co. brands. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational engagement.

Core Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing, service-driven team
  • Establish a strong, positive culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and hospitality excellence
  • Recruit, train, and develop department leaders and team members
  • Serve as the face of the property, both internally and within the local community

Operations
  • Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Guest Services
  • Ensure seamless execution of guest arrivals, departures, and extended-stay experiences
  • Maintain brand standards across all touchpoints, ensuring a consistently elevated and personalized guest experience
  • Partner cross-functionally with corporate teams including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and People & Culture

Financial Performance
  • Own and manage the property's P&L, driving revenue growth and cost control
  • Develop and execute operational and financial strategies to meet and exceed budgeted goals
  • Monitor key performance metrics including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and guest satisfaction scores
  • Identify opportunities to optimize efficiency and profitability

Guest Experience
  • Champion a hospitality-first mindset across all departments
  • Ensure guest satisfaction, retention, and loyalty through proactive engagement and service recovery
  • Uphold ROOST's commitment to creating a residential, design-forward guest experience

Sales & Community Engagement
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to drive occupancy and brand awareness

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of General Manager or senior leadership experience within a boutique hotel or lifestyle hospitality environment
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving profitability
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep understanding of hotel operations across all departments
  • Experience with extended-stay, apartment-style, or lifestyle hospitality concepts preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
