Full Job Description
Located in the heart of Orlando's tourism corridor on International Drive, the Avanti International Resort is a vibrant, high-volume resort destination just minutes from ICON Park, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando, and the Orange County Convention Center.

The resort features over 650 guest rooms and suites, approximately 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, multiple food and beverage outlets, a resort-style pool experience, fitness center, arcade, and extensive guest amenities designed to serve both leisure and group travelers.

The General Manager will have the opportunity to lead a well-established team while continuing to drive the property's growth, market positioning, and long-term success within one of the most competitive hospitality markets in the country.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, financial performance, and operational success of the resort. This leader will oversee all departments while partnering closely with ownership and executive leadership to achieve revenue goals, optimize expenses, and drive long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
  • Develop, implement, and manage annual operating budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial objectives.
  • Analyze financial statements, P&L performance, labor reports, and key operational metrics to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Drive profitability through strategic cost management and revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain accountability for departmental financial performance and expense controls.
Revenue Management & Business Strategy
  • Partner with Revenue Management to maximize ADR, Occupancy, RevPAR, and market share performance.
  • Execute pricing strategies and market positioning initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Analyze competitive intelligence, market trends, and business demand patterns to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with ownership objectives.
Operational Excellence
  • Provide hands-on leadership across all hotel departments to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
  • Monitor labor productivity, purchasing practices, inventory controls, and operational expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and operational SOPs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement focused on service excellence and operational efficiency.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop department leaders with an emphasis on accountability, financial literacy, and leadership growth.
  • Build a high-performance culture centered on results, collaboration, and exceptional guest service.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and operational meetings to monitor progress toward goals.
  • Lead by example and maintain a visible presence throughout the resort.
Ownership Reporting & Compliance
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial and operational reporting to ownership and executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and brand regulations.
  • Oversee audits, internal controls, risk management, and asset protection initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel leadership experience with full P&L responsibility.
