Full Job Description
The General Manager - Foodservice Warehouse responsible for driving the growth, performance, and long-term success of Shamrock's Foodservice Warehouse business. This leader will define and execute strategies that strengthen Shamrock's position as the preferred warehouse solution for foodservice operators, elevate performance across merchandising, operations, and customer experience, and develop the organizational capabilities needed to support continued expansion. Through strong leadership, cross-functional partnership, and a focus on delivering value to customers, this role will help position the business for sustained growth and market leadership.

Essential Duties:
  • Drive profitable growth and deliver business results. Establish and achieve financial, operational, and capital expenditure objectives.
  • Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision and growth plan for the Foodservice Warehouse business, including market expansion, new store development, customer acquisition, and format innovation initiatives.
  • Lead the overall strategy, growth, and P&L performance of the Foodservice Warehouse business, ensuring achievement of revenue, margin, expense, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • Establish Shamrock as the preferred warehouse solution for foodservice operators through a differentiated customer experience, compelling value proposition, and customer-focused operating model.
  • Establish best-in-class standards across store operations, merchandising, pricing, inventory management, customer experience, and business performance.
  • Evaluate customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and shape future business strategy.
  • Partner with merchandising, category management, supply chain, marketing, finance, and operations teams to develop and execute strategies that drive sales growth, inventory productivity, customer loyalty, and profitability.
  • Ensure the Foodservice Warehouse business remains aligned with Shamrock's overall foodservice strategy and customer value proposition.
  • Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and development to the VP of Retail Stores and broader leadership team, strengthening organizational capability and leadership effectiveness.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing leaders while building a succession pipeline capable of supporting continued growth and expansion.
  • Leverage customer, operational, and financial data to improve performance, identify opportunities, and drive informed decision-making.
  • Develop forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range business plans in partnership with operations, supply chain, and finance teams.
  • Champion innovation and organizational change by implementing scalable processes, systems, and capabilities that support a growing multi-unit business while fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with peers and leaders across the organization to ensure alignment and support enterprise-wide objectives.
  • Ensure company culture and teamwork are embraced by associates and are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Take personal responsibility for service excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail, wholesale, foodservice distribution, warehouse clubs, or cash-and-carry operations, including a minimum of 5 years in foodservice wholesale or cash-and-carry retail operations serving foodservice customers.
  • Proven success leading large multi-unit retail organizations and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Extensive experience with P&L management, financial planning, budgeting, and capital investment decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale and grow retail businesses through strategic planning and operational execution.
  • Strong retail merchandising, category management, inventory management, pricing, and promotional experience.
  • Deep knowledge of foodservice customers, wholesale operations, restaurant supply, or related retail formats.
  • Proven track record of developing executive-level leaders and building high-performance organizations.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision and day-to-day operational excellence.
  • Experience leveraging data, analytics, technology, and reporting tools to drive business performance.
  • Demonstrated change leadership and continuous improvement experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
