Summary/Objective
The General Manager I holds the responsibility for leading one or more large volume operation(s) on the ODW campus. Operation(s) may include management of a single facility/operation, which may serve a multi-disciplined customer base or multi-facility operations. Responsibilities include safety, customer relations, operational oversight, business metrics, staff development, business development support, and P&L. this position may have one or more subordinate Operations Manager(s) as direct reports, as well as functional support manager leadership responsibilities. This position leads teams in continuous improvement projects, as well as having heavy involvement with customer relationships and the business development process.

1. Leads and drives corporate culture and initiatives through hands-on interactions with all associates.
2. Delights and responds to customer inquiries and serves as the point of contact for customer relations for multi-customers from multi-disciplines.
3. Ensures effective procedures are documented and are in place for all aspects of the operations.
4. Creates, coordinates and reports on business metrics (KPI's) applicable to the operation and fulfill customer and internal requirements. Includes authoring and publishing monthly operations statement(s) to our customer(s) point of contact, summarizing ODW's performance in regards to SCOPE and customer requirements.
5. Assists in the business development process in RFQ responses, including solution concepts and design.
6. Manages, coordinates, and implements cost effective operational solutions to continuously improve efficiency and enhance service levels and quality.
7. Reviews current material handling methods and supports operational reviews of enhancements.
8. Conducts operational audits and presents findings/recommendations as required.
9. Maximizes productivity, quality, and service throughout operations by utilizing best practice techniques in the areas of facilities layout, methods, material handling concepts, technological enhancements, and measurements.
10. Provides senior management with information and recommendations to make effective decisions regarding the optimum utilization of people, materials, equipment and facilities.
11. Coordinates best practices and implements them system-wide.
12. Leads and assists in all types of account projects, including start-ups, transfers and improvements.
13. Creates, coordinates, monitors and measures business plan objectives vs. actual results and reports to Senior Management and/or clients as required.
14. Leads and implements technology enhancements as required.
15. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required
• Three years of management/supervisory experience, preferably in a large, high-volume environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related operations discipline.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Must be able to assume leadership role in a fast paced, team oriented environment dedicated to delighting the customer and achievement of safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite products.
• Must be hands on and have previous experience with staff development, facility layout, inventory management and P&L for a large operation.
• Must be able to learn software programs quickly, with previous RF experience.
• Establish and implement operational procedures for all distribution activities and for start-up operations - ISO experience a plus.
• AIB experience - FDA/ODA/DEA experience a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with superior team building skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
• Experience with multi-shift operations.
• Must possess a high energy level and the drive to implement change.
• Prior planning experience, including budgets, manning, equipment and facilities.
• Must practice confidentiality as required.
