Position SummaryThe General Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all hotel departments while maximizing profitability, guest loyalty, and associate engagement. This highly visible leader oversees Rooms, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Sales, Revenue Management, Human Resources, Finance, Safety, and Owner Relations.
Essential Responsibilities- Lead and develop all hotel departments to achieve operational excellence.
- Drive Hyatt brand compliance and quality assurance standards.
- Lead teams to successfully drive core brand measures; cleanliness, working order, customer service and condition of hotel.
- Deliver exceptional guest satisfaction and service recovery.
- Recruit, coach, develop, and retain top talent.
- Achieve budgeted financial goals including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and GOP.
- Manage labor costs, departmental expenses, and capital projects.
- Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Hyatt standards, California employment laws, OSHA, and safety regulations.
- Build strong relationships with ownership and corporate leadership.
- Present business reviews and execute strategic initiatives that improve asset value.
Required QualificationsHyatt Experience (Required)- Minimum five (5) years of Hotel General Manager experience.
- Minimum three (3) years in a leadership role with a Hyatt-branded property (Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, Grand Hyatt, or other Hyatt Hotels Corporation brand).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Hyatt brand standards, quality assurance programs, guest satisfaction metrics, Hyatt operating systems, and World of Hyatt culture.
- Hyatt House or Hyatt Place General Manager experience strongly preferred.
Professional Experience- Proven record of increasing RevPAR, ADR, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
- Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and labor management experience.
- Experience leading multiple hotel departments.
- California hotel leadership experience preferred.
- Property transition, opening, or multi-property experience is a plus.
