General Manager / Executive Director New Development

Serenova at Woodforest seeks a General Manager / Executive Director to lead our newest concierge community from pre-opening lease-up through stabilization and beyond. As the founding leader of a brand-new Serenova community, you will shape the team, culture, resident experience, and operational playbook from day one. What You Bring:
  • 5-10+ years of senior living leadership (IL / AL / Active Adult) or hospitality / service-driven leadership at comparable scope.
  • Proven results in lease-up or occupancy growth, financial management, and team and culture building.
  • P&L fluency -you read a statement, know the drivers, and make trade-offs that protect both the resident experience and the bottom line.
  • A builder's mindset - you thrive in pre-opening environments and bring order, pace, and accountability.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; lease-up or new-community opening experience strongly preferred.


What You'll Do:
  • Own occupancy, net operating income, and resident experience from pre-opening through stabilization, translating company strategy into disciplined daily execution.
  • Partner closely with the Community Relations Director on the lease-up funnel - weekly pipeline reviews, conversion management, and move-in pacing vs. plan.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing leadership team across Concierge & Lifestyle, Culinary & Bar, Maintenance, and Housekeeping.
  • Deliver a high-touch, concierge-level resident experience every day, and set the cultural tone every department executes against.
  • Build the operating budget with the EVP of Operations and drive operating income through revenue optimization, labor discipline, and expense control, reported monthly, reviewed quarterly.
  • Build the local presence through healthcare providers, civic and referral partners, community events that make Serenova a known brand in the market.
