Full Job Description
Delta Group Electronics is seeking a General Manager based at its Headquarters in Albuquerque,New Mexico. This position leads a team to manage production, procurement, sales and other supporting operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manages production, warehousing, and sales in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures.

Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures to achieve facility financial and strategic goals.

Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and labor.

Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.

Reviews operations of competing organizations and plans and directs sales programs to develop new markets.

Manages quote activity and prepares budgets for use by management.

Represents Company in relations with local customers, suppliers and government officials as required.

Managerial Responsibilities
Manages 5-10 subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Productions, Test, Purchasing and Maintenance areas.

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises 1-5 non-supervisory employees.

Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; development of staff.

Education and/orExperience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
7-10 years of experience in operations management preferably in the EMS industry.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, employee must have a high level of proficiency with MSOffice Suite products specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. Must have a working knowledge of Accessdatabase and PowerPoint. Strongknowledge of ERP systems is required.
