Your Job

Join our team as a General Manager and lead our Corrugated Packaging business in San Leandro. As the General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the success and profitability of the plant. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and execute business strategies while directly leading our commercial sales and customer service teams across multiple facilities. Reporting to the Area General Manager, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive growth, deliver customer value, and strive for operational excellence.

Location: San Leandro, California. Travel (20% approximately) to effectively build customer relationships, pursue new business opportunities, and seek operational improvements.

Relocation is offered for the right candidate for this position.

What You Will Do

Compliance, Safety, and Continuous Improvement:
  • Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, industry standards, and GP best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, product quality, and operational efficiency.


Leadership:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team including the Director of Operations.
  • Champion a people-first and customer-centric culture, ensuring customer priorities are at the forefront.
  • Define the commercial vision, strategy, and organizational direction.
  • Oversee commercial activities including financial budgets, commercial processes, and direct client interactions.
  • Ensure site operations are led with a relentless focus on safety, reliability, and quality.
  • Foster a culture focused on performance excellence and customer satisfaction in both quality and service.
  • Implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes and quality control.


Business Strategy and Growth:
  • Lead strategic initiatives aligned with a market-focused vision to foster innovation and sustainable growth.
  • Strengthen existing customer relationships and pursue new, profitable opportunities.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for profitable growth.
  • Enhance collaboration by building internal relationships, key to success in this position.

Financial Management:
  • Manage financial budgets across the site and improve business profitability.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, forecasting, and budgeting utilizing your financial acumen.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with 5+ years in a managerial leadership role in sales or operations.
  • Experience leading, developing, and coaching teams.
  • Proven track record in talent development and team growth.
  • Proficiency in managing profit and loss (P&L) statements.


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience in a leadership role within the Corrugated industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.


For this role, we anticipate paying $200,000 - $250,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
