Job Title: Enterprise Salesforce - Technical Architect / Account Leader
Slalom is seeking an experienced, solution-oriented Technical Architect / Account Leader dedicated to driving holistic customer value through innovative Salesforce and Customer Experience solutions. This role will be a senior technical partner to the Amazon account team and a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, from developers through C-level executives. The Technical Architect / Account Leader will lead discovery, design cross-cloud blueprints, and build high-impact demonstrations and proofs of concept that connect business outcomes to practical, scalable AWS-Salesforce solutions. This person will bring broad technical experience and deep Salesforce platform knowledge, with a focus on shaping sales solutions and ensuring delivery of complex programs from discovery through deployment and will collaborate closely with account leadership, client partners, alliance teams, and delivery leaders to grow the account and strengthen Slalom's technical point of view with Amazon. They are self-driven, operate with a "get it done" attitude, and have a passion for solving complex business and technology challenges.
Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Solutioning
- Partner with Amazon account leadership, client partners, sales executives, alliance teams, and capability leaders to identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities requiring strong technical solutioning.
- Shape and maintain a technical account strategy and roadmap that aligns Salesforce, AWS, and adjacent platform capabilities to Amazon's business priorities, adoption goals, and measurable outcomes.
- Support solution economics by providing accurate architecture, staffing, estimation, and delivery-risk inputs for strategic pursuits.
- Help account and engagement leaders identify scope levers, sequencing options, and technical dependencies that protect client value, delivery quality, and project economics.
- Partner with Amazon account leadership, client partners, sales executives, and capability leaders to identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities that require strong technical solutioning.
- Lead client-facing discovery workshops to understand current-state architecture, business priorities, customer journeys, constraints, and desired outcomes; translate findings into clear, compelling solution approaches.
- Develop cross-cloud solution architectures, technical narratives, tailored demonstrations, proofs of concept, and point-of-view materials that bring Slalom's AWS-Salesforce capabilities to life for client stakeholders.
- Define and communicate technical scope, delivery approach, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and estimation inputs for proposals, work orders, and statements of work.
- Serve as a technical thought partner during pursuits, aligning diverse experts across Salesforce, AWS, Slack, Amazon Quick, ServiceNow, data, AI, cloud, and adjacent platforms into an integrated solution.
- Support pursuit leads and proposal managers in developing client-facing proposals, including solution diagrams, resource-model inputs, technical requirements, and delivery sequencing.
- Build trusted relationships with Amazon technical and business leaders, as well as key technology partners, to cultivate new opportunities and improve Slalom's competitive position.
- Develop reusable solution patterns, demo assets, and sales accelerators that improve pursuit speed, consistency, and quality across the account.
Technical Architecture
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for strategic pursuits, balancing client value, platform capabilities, security, scalability, maintainability, and time-to-value.
- Lead technical design sessions; document solutions aligned with client objectives; and identify gaps between current and desired end states.
- Establish responsible AI architecture practices, including evaluation criteria, grounding, human oversight, security, privacy, fallback and escalation patterns, and monitoring of quality and business impact.
- Lead the use of Slalom's AI-driven accelerated engineering framework during pursuits and project implementations.
- Create and present cross-cloud reference architectures that articulate key capabilities, integrations, data flows, environments, governance, and technical tradeoffs in language appropriate for executive and technical audiences.
- Author and govern architectural standards for data modeling, identity and access management, single sign-on, secure API patterns, OAuth, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
- Assess technical feasibility and identify architecture, integration, data, security, and operational risks early; recommend practical mitigation strategies and phased delivery approaches.
- Apply current knowledge of Salesforce, AWS, customer experience, data, AI, automation, and collaboration technologies to guide fit-for-purpose recommendations rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
- Guide clients through emerging technology patterns, including generative AI agents, Amazon Bedrock, Salesforce Agentforce, Salesforce Data Cloud, and real-time data and event-streaming use cases.
- Provide technical continuity from pursuit through mobilization, helping delivery teams validate assumptions, refine designs, and establish a strong architecture foundation for execution.
- Act as the architecture escalation point and technical liaison among client stakeholders, delivery teams, Salesforce, AWS, and other product or support organizations.
Delivery Excellence
- Provide technical oversight and architecture guidance for strategic Amazon engagements to support delivery quality, sound decision-making, and alignment to the sold solution.
- Partner with engagement leaders and delivery teams to resolve technical issues, manage solution changes, and maintain a clear connection between business outcomes and technical execution.
- Manage client expectations and collaborate on viable solutions to complex problems.
Leadership
- Act as a mentor and technical coach to practitioners supporting Amazon pursuits and engagements.
- Mentor and upskill team members through architecture reviews, pursuit coaching, reusable leading practices, and hands-on technical guidance.
- Contribute actionable feedback on technical team members and help build a strong, collaborative sales and delivery culture.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute reusable patterns, decision guidance, and lessons learned to Slalom's architecture and engineering communities of practice.
Qualifications

- Demonstrated success shaping and presenting complex technology solutions for enterprise clients, including discovery, architecture, demonstrations, proofs of concept, proposals, and technical storytelling.
- Hands-on experience with API integration patterns, middleware, secure authentication and authorization, and coding or scripting in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with API integration patterns, middleware, ETL, ESB, event-driven architectures, secure authentication and authorization, SAML, SSO, OAuth, Named Credentials, TLS, and SSL.
- Advanced knowledge of Apex, triggers, Lightning Flow design patterns, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, Web Components, and HTML, with additional coding or scripting experience in languages such as Python or Java preferred.
- Experience using AI-enabled engineering approaches to enhance Salesforce platform design and implementation.
- Experience with Agentforce and Salesforce AI capabilities, with familiarity in generative AI agents, Amazon Bedrock, Salesforce Agentforce, Salesforce Data Cloud, large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and responsible generative AI solution patterns preferred.
- Proven ability to partner with sales, account, alliance, and delivery leaders to advance pursuits and translate business goals into credible technical approaches.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to tailor technical content for executive, business, and engineering audiences.
- Familiarity with consulting pursuit processes, estimation models, proposal and SOW authoring, and the transition from sales to delivery.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, highly innovative environment while managing multiple priorities and pursuing opportunities with sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Direct experience designing architectures that connect Salesforce CRM with AWS services, such as Amazon Connect, AWS Lambda, Amazon Bedrock, or adjacent AWS services, is preferred.
- Relevant certifications, such as Salesforce System Architect, Application Architect, or Data Cloud Consultant; AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Developer; and direct experience working with Amazon or other large enterprise customers are preferred.
