Job Description

Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Senior Product Manager, RCM

Location: Denver, CO

*Please note: This role is not eligible for remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Denver area and have the ability to be onsite 2 days per week*

The experienced Product Management Consultant with deep Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) expertise will guide product strategy, discovery, and delivery within a complex healthcare ecosystem. This individual will bring a strong product management craft to the engagement, helping transform business needs into actionable product outcomes through disciplined discovery, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and execution.

The ideal consultant is a seasoned product leader who has successfully operated in complex product domains and understands how to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. In addition to exceptional product management expertise, deep knowledge of RCM processes, workflows, and challenges is critical to success in this role.

What You'll Do

Product Strategy & Discovery
• Lead discovery efforts to identify business problems, user needs, and product opportunities.
• Develop and maintain product briefs, business cases, and other product artifacts that drive clarity and alignment.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to define outcomes, priorities, and success measures.
• Translate complex operational and business needs into actionable product strategies and roadmaps.
• Ensure all initiatives are grounded in customer, user, and business value.

Stakeholder Alignment & Product Leadership
• Partner with senior business leaders, operations teams, product stakeholders, and technology leaders to establish a shared vision and priorities.
• Drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities.
• Communicate product direction, trade-offs, and recommendations to executive and operational audiences.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on product best practices and decision-making.

Product Delivery & Execution
• Own and prioritize product backlogs based on business value, strategic objectives, and technical considerations.
• Translate strategic priorities into well-defined epics, features, and user stories.
• Partner closely with senior engineering teams to ensure work is ready, actionable, and aligned to desired outcomes.
• Support sprint planning, refinement, and execution activities while maintaining focus on product goals and customer value.
• Drive continuous feedback loops and iterative product improvements.

Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Expertise
• Apply deep knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes to product discovery, prioritization, and solution design.
• Understand and navigate complex RCM domains including:

o Patient access and registration

o Eligibility and benefits verification

o Prior authorization

o Claims management

o Denials and appeals

o Billing and collections

o Revenue integrity
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, user experience, revenue capture, and business outcomes through product solutions.

Act as a subject matter expert bridging healthcare operations and technology teams.

What You'll Bring
• 8+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success leading both strategic and tactical product initiatives.
• Deep expertise in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) within healthcare organizations, healthcare technology, or healthcare services environments.
• Proven experience leading product discovery and defining product strategies for complex business and technology challenges.
• Strong experience creating product briefs, roadmaps, business cases, user stories, and backlog management frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to align stakeholders and drive decisions across large, matrixed organizations.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams in Agile environments and supporting sprint-level delivery.
• Track record of delivering products in complex domains involving multiple stakeholders, systems, and business processes.
• Consulting experience, ability to work with a team and independently.

Preferred Experience
• Experience with healthcare payer, provider, diagnostic, laboratory, or healthcare technology organizations.
• Experience modernizing legacy operational or technology platforms.
• Familiarity with AI, automation, analytics, or workflow optimization within revenue cycle functions.
• Experience working within digital transformation or product operating model environments.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $75 to $95/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
