Job Description

Pursuit Manager - Lead Level

Who You'll Work With

In this role, you will serve as a Bid Manager on Slalom's Pursuit Support Team, which supports large, complex, strategic pursuits (>$3M). Pursuits will span commercial and public-sector industries, and you will work with teams across the US and international markets. This role will also support internal projects related to business development, process improvement, and shaping the strategic direction of the Sales organization.

Limited to no travel is required for this role. Work will be performed remotely or in your nearest Slalom office.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a Bid Manager on large, complex, strategic RFPs and pursuits across industries and geographies. Key activities include project managing proposals, creating and managing reusable proposal solutions and past performance content, coordinating with legal and other required Slalom functions, ensuring RFP compliance, and providing strategic direction to pursuit teams to improve response quality and win rates.
  • Work with the Pursuit Support Team to review current processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support ad-hoc projects that contribute to the success of the broader Sales org. In particular, we are looking for someone with strong graphic design and PowerPoint skills to support executive-level storytelling and presentation development.

What You'll Bring
  • 3-5years of experience with proposal management. Commercial proposal management experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Skills in project management, coordinating activity across multiple participants to meet the completion of deliverables.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to hold senior leaders accountable and guide them toward the pursuit of milestones and decision points.


  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage up and evaluate risks appropriately.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot in daily work.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills are required. Ability to design visually compelling PowerPoint presentations that support competitive RFP responses.
  • Ability to create branded graphics and PowerPoint presentation layouts that enhance proposal storytelling and executive messaging.Partnership with pursuit teams to translate solution concepts into a compelling presentation that differentiates Slalom in competitive bids.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges:

East Bay, San Francisco, Silicon Valley: $106,000- $130,000

San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle, Boston, New Jersey, New York City, Washington DC, Westchester: $97,000- $119,000

All other locations: $89,000- $109,000

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
