Overview

General and Operations Manager (HSS)

 

Bowhead is seeking a General and Operations Manager to join our team for our Hawaii Support Services proposal effort in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport Division Detachment Pacific( NUWCDIVKPT) in Oahu, Hawaii. 

Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and direction to the team.
  • Ensures flow of communication from upper management to employees and vice versa.
  • Responsible for the administrative/operational leadership within the program guidelines set by the contract Performance Work Statement.
  • Areas of responsibility include Turn-In & Receiving Operations, Accountability & Records Management, Warehousing & Material Handling, and Coordination & Customer Service
  • Ensures compliance with Navy regulations, technical manuals, and contract requirements, while maintaining accurate records in logistics systems.
  • Directly responsible for verifying documentation and updating records.
  • Provide logistical support in the areas of supply, maintenance, and transportation.
  • Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
  • Provide the resources to plan, organize, and manage supply functions.
  • Present briefs, prepare detailed operational reports including manpower, schedules, and financial.
  • Implement a continuous Risk Management process throughout the life cycle of the Contract.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Required ten (10) years of professional experience in technical program/project management with projects of increasing complexity and shall reflect demonstrated abilities in managing a diverse mix oftechnical requirements.
  • Desired experience in program/project management experience across dispersed geographic areas.
  • Basic level skills in Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

This is a proposal effort the target rates for the contract are from $61.60 to $100 hour depending on the role and commensurate with experience.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
