Summary of Position

We are seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as a Senior Analyst in Global Banking Operations (GBO) Governance and Projects. Reporting directly to the Americas Head of Global Banking Operations, you will play a pivotal role with broad responsibilities across the entire Americas GBO team.

In this strategic and hands-on position, you will drive GBO governance, lead project management initiatives (including process optimizations and change management), manage budgeting processes, and support critical GBO 1.2 controls. You will act as a key liaison and partner with the Global Trade, FinOps, Operational Risk Management, local and global Finance and Accounting, and other key internal departments. Your mission is to continuously improve existing processes, introduce new initiatives, and maintain robust risk management practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a key driver of operational excellence, your responsibilities will include:
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identifying opportunities for process optimization and collaborating with local and global support teams (including IT and other Operations teams) to implement sustainable changes.
  • Project Management: Leading GBO project management activities, driving new initiatives from initiation to completion, and ensuring timely, seamless implementation within GBO.
  • Control Ownership: Executing GBO 1.2 controls diligently to mitigate operational risks and maintain compliance.
  • Budgeting Support: Assisting the Head of GBO Americas in tracking, analyzing, and preparing the GBO US budget.
  • Global Reconciliation Governance: Partnering with the Paris and Porto Accounting teams to perform local governance of reconciliation items, including past dues, unpaid balances, and cash items.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering with internal stakeholders to assess outstanding operational issues (including P&L and cash break issues, outstanding unpaid amounts, insurances, and covenants) and contributing to implementing effective, long-term solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with Global Banking Operations teams, Head Office GBO Accounting, Finance, Audit, IT, Control Tower, Operational Risk Management, and other support departments.
  • New Product Integration: Participating in and contributing to the launch of new products and services, including New Product New Activity (NPNA) assessments.


Required Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Education: An undergraduate degree in finance or a related business field; an MBA is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial bank, with a focus on finance, operational controls, or both.
  • Project Management: Proven project management experience within banking operations is highly desirable.
  • Systems Knowledge: Strong, hands-on knowledge of Loan IQ (LIQ) is required.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (specifically Excel and PowerPoint), with practical knowledge of VBA being highly preferred.
  • Domain Expertise: A solid understanding of financial and trade controls, banking accounting, reconciliations, and financing transaction activities (including syndicated loans, bilateral loans, and various fee structures).
  • Soft Skills: A proven ability to act independently, take initiative, and demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.


The salary range for this Vice President position will be between $125,000 - $165,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
