Position Summary

The G3 Operations and Readiness Directorate Strategic Planning Analyst provides expert-level operational planning and strategic analysis support to AMC leadership. This position develops readiness assessments, contingency planning products, campaign support analyses, and strategic recommendations supporting Army sustainment, global force projection, and operational readiness initiatives.

The work for this position shall be performed onsite in Huntsville, Alabama.

Duties & Responsibilities

The essential and specific functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Analyze national strategic guidance, Army priorities, and readiness objectives.
• Develop operational planning products supporting Army and Joint operations.
• Assess readiness impacts associated with strategic initiatives and operational requirements.
• Support campaign planning, force projection planning, and sustainment assessments.
• Develop briefing materials, executive correspondence, and decision papers.
• Evaluate operational risks and identify mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate planning efforts across AMC, HQDA, ASCCs, and Joint stakeholders.
• Support readiness synchronization events and strategic planning forums.
• Provide recommendations supporting Army operational objectives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Strategic Studies, Business Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of Army or Joint strategic planning experience.
• Minimum 5 years developing theater-level campaign plans.
• Experience working with Army Commands, ASCCs, or Combatant Commands.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Top Secret security clearance.
