FX Sales/Structuring Representative - North America

As an FX Sales Representative, you will be responsible for uncovering and closing hedging opportunities from the Transition and Core client books as well as working with the New Business Sales teams and Partnerships channels to onboard new customers and transact hedging business thereafter. The role requires the creation of hedging solutions and dealing to address clients' hedging risk, using our suite of derivative products, contributing to market commentary both internally and externally, representing the business at client functions and working with other internal stakeholders on projects as required.

Daily Responsibilities Include:
  • Supporting Client Managers with derivative pricing, either requested by the client or as a result of discussion amongst the dealing team.
  • Development of new strategies based on current market trends and analysis. This includes packaging brand new structures, assisting in formulating internal policies with regards to those products and communicating with compliance and legal on the go-to-market.
  • Trade execution and pre- & post-trade administrative compliance duties.
  • Supporting the team in preparation and presentation of bespoke Hedging/Treasury Policies.
  • Events and other large audience presentations on FX Risk subject matter
  • Client discovery meetings (prospective and existing clients)
  • Achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets for the North American Region.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 12 months' experience dealing hedging solutions (forward and option) to corporate or SME customers.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of FX option structures and hedging strategies
  • Ability to structure FX option hedging solutions
  • Technical & fundamental understanding of broad financial markets
  • Ability to disseminate technical and fundamental knowledge into a saleable form
  • Some sales experience, either business development or upsell to existing clients, preferred
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to ask probing questions to understand needs of customer and solution sell FX risk management strategies
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Strong desire to succeed and motivate self and the team
  • Ability to deal effectively with all types of people, build and maintain supportive relationships with key business contacts
  • Effective time management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Solid IT skills with ability to use MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Reuters & Bloomberg.
  • MBA and/or CFA designation (or working towards) would be an asset.
  • Bilingual candidates preferred: FRENCH and ENGLISH
