- Purchase and manage a variety of products and brands for FWRD.com
- Knowledgeable in women's contemporary and luxury brands, as well as current trends
- Responsible for assortment selection for 80+ luxury brands consisting of planning, customer needs, trends, competitors and merchandising
- Study sales history and inventory levels to evaluate what product is needed
- Ability to balance multiple brands and strategic thinking, as well as attention to detail
- Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors on RA's, sell through guarantees, trade discounts, marketing co-ops
- Identify opportunities and risks in-season through analyzing sales performance
- Responsible for calculating gross margin, turnover and OTB
- Reviews sales results to strategize timely mark-downs and manages old age inventories through strategic liquidation
- Work closely with analytics team to execute a proper buy
- Oversee Buying Assistant new order placement, reorders, and tracking to ensure timely receipt of merchandise
- Sourcing new products and new vendors
- Work on special projects as assigned
- Train and support Assistant Buyer and Buying Admin
- Some travel is required
- Must be able to work flexible hours to get the job done

Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Fashion or Business preferred
- 5 + years of women's buying experience
- 3 years experience in a buying office or fashion industry environment required
- Work experience as a Buyer is required
- Strong knowledge of and ability to apply retail math concepts, including elements of markup, margin planning, open to buy, and inventory productivity measures
- Proficient in Email, Microsoft applications
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience as a Manager
- Home Buying Experience
- E-commerce experience
