Role Overview:This role focuses on the development and management of functional specifications within the automotive industry. The engineer will be responsible for translating high-level vehicle and system requirements into detailed ECU-level specifications, ensuring alignment with software releases and sprint commitments. Key aspects include maintaining traceability, managing requirements and defects in JIRA, and collaborating extensively with OEM teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Decompose vehicle/system requirements into clear ECU-level requirements for supplier implementation.
- Develop and maintain functional specifications aligned with software releases and sprint commitments.
- Maintain traceability across requirements, validation artifacts, and release documentation.
- Manage JIRA tickets for requirements, defects, sprint planning, validation status, and release readiness.
- Collaborate with OEM teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve clarifications, design gaps, and release dependencies.
- Support project health reporting, risk tracking, and timing feasibility assessments.
