Job Title: Functional Lead of Quality Management SystemsWe have an exciting opportunity with our Digital Technology team for a
Functional Lead of Quality Management Systems.
What will your day-to-day look like?The ideal candidate will be an experienced, motivated and mission-driven individual and will be joining the Digital Technology Quality team.
The Functional Manager within Quality Systems will lead and participate in strategic enterprise initiatives including the design, implementation, and support of Pratt & Whitney Quality Management Systems (QMS).
This person will engage directly with the Quality organization to understand customer requirements, identify, and develop solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations.
The individual will leverage a strong technical background to troubleshoot complex issues and make recommendations for strategic changes to our landscape to improve the reliability and accuracy of existing solutions.
This position requires partnership with a cross functional Digital Technology team, 3rd party software vendors, and outsourced partners to develop and execute integrated solutions.
Significant collaboration, planning and real-time communication with Pratt & Whitney Quality team, it's business partners, and outsourced 3rd parties to execute digital solutions on budget, with high quality and demonstrated value realization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with business stakeholders and other functional areas to define process enhancements for Quality Systems that streamline business processes.
- Manage Key Decisions, Risks, Actions and Dependencies.
- Implements functional strategy.
- Perform technical and functional problem solving.
- Document requirements and translate them into specification documents that result in solutions that meet or exceed the defined business requirements.
- Work in cross functional teams to provide seamless integration between Quality Management Systems and other enterprise applications.
- Ensure all stakeholders are aligned around the vision, scope, schedule and budget for the digital solution.
- Develop and implement new products, processes, standards.
- Manage project deliverables to defined schedules and budgets to ensure project deliverables are achieved within project schedule and budget.
- Manage third party suppliers to deliver high performing Quality Management Systems.
- Develop metrics to monitor development of application solutions, collect feedback, and capture delivered value.
- Lead or support various project status & communication forums including daily standups, stakeholder alignment meetings and executive reviews.
- Ensure that proper training is given to the users and that the system is usable, performing appropriately and the business flow is complete and correct.
- Lead and/or support continuous improvement activities to improve application performance, quality and reliability.
- Ensure production applications meet agreed upon service level expectations.
- Lead and support projects using Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
- Ensure all projects follow predefined gated approval and sign-off process.
- Required to attend and have participation in work group meetings, teleconferences and / or training.
- Required to have active participation in CORE initiatives.
- Based on business needs the incumbent may be required to support other duties / functions within the company.
- Available and able to travel based on business needs.
This position is based at our Mississauga location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.
What do you need to be successful?Minimum qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field and 8+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or Quality that includes experience in a customer facing role, requirement gathering, designing functional/technical solutions, and providing support, and experience in managing and delivering projects in dynamic organizations;
- OR Advanced Degree and 5+ years of experience in Information Technology or related field that includes experience in a customer facing role, requirement gathering, designing functional/technical solutions, and providing support, and experience in managing and delivering projects in dynamic organizations.
- Working knowledge of the SAP Quality Management module (SAP Quality Notifications and SAP S4 experience is desired).
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Configuration experience with the Quality Management module.
- Knowledge of SAP Quality Notifications.
- Strong technical experience working in a complex SAP landscape.
- Experience as an ABAP and/or JavaScript developer.
- Program debugging experience.
- Experience with ETQ Reliance and Net-Inspect.
- Demonstrated leadership of successful process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated focus on process development and implementation that spans organizational boundaries.
- Demonstrated agile mindset and proven history of helping implement and support scaled agile practices.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, daily, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

The salary range for this role is 101,500 CAD - 151,500 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
