How you'll make an impact:
The Principal, Quality Systems & Communication is responsible for ensuring the smooth transition from design to production, managing product validation and compliance, overseeing quality management and audits, resolving issues, and facilitating effective communication across departments. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:
  • Process Ownership and Transition: Ensure smooth and quality-driven transition from design to production. Verify design validation and completeness of necessary documentation, including drawings, testing protocols, and specifications.
  • Product Validation and Compliance: Define SiriusXM's Module Testing/Validation Specifications in line with AECQ-104 and establish clear criteria for product validation (PVPNR). Review and approve Supplier Change Requests (SCRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in Arena Systems. Conduct PPAP reviews with all stakeholders prior to approval.
  • Quality Management and Audits: Update the Manufacturing Quality Manual to incorporate missing internal and external process flows. Conduct quality audits of contract manufacturers, covering both process and product audits as needed. Ensure adherence to defined manufacturing processes and compliance with ISO or automotive standards such as IATF 16949.
  • Issue Resolution and Escalations: Manage and address manufacturing issues related to abnormal factory fallouts and ABC/WABC server failures. Handle escalations promptly, especially when quality issues threaten OEM Module delivery and/or
customer satisfaction. Respond to incoming questions from Tier 1s and OEMs regarding Module Quality.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Interface with Supply Chain, Conditional Access, and other IT groups as necessary to address production line interruptions, Re-FA, module timer resets, etc. Act as the primary interface for Tier 1 radio manufacturers and OEM car manufacturers during quality issues. Lead discussions during quality reviews, proactively addressing concerns, and ensuring customers
receive regular updates on defect resolution progress.
  • Continuous Improvement and CAPA: Develop and implement CAPA strategies in collaboration with internal departments and contract manufacturers. Track CAPA progress and effectiveness through measurable metrics.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Work closely with internal teams to standardize and document product release processes. Maintain all records in compliance with customer-specific and regulatory standards. Ensure the organization is always prepared for customer audits and third-party
inspections. Partner with sourcing and engineering teams to evaluate new suppliers for quality compliance.
  • Audit Arena System Records to ensure compliance with required documentation prior to
approving a supplier or component for use in SiriusXM's Module BOMs.

What you'll need:

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Self-starter mentality that thrives in cross-functional environments and consistently delivers results through influence rather than authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to confidently present to executive audiences.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
