Full Job Description
Fullstack Engineer (Founder's Office)

Bioscope.AI | Park City, UT (Hybrid) | Full-Time

The Opportunity

This isn't a standard engineering role. You will act as the founder's technical right-hand; the critical bridge between raw, early-stage ideation and the core engineering team. Our founder is constantly exploring the edge of what's possible, building rapid, "vibe-coded" prototypes and visionary demos. Your job is to take these concepts, inject them with engineering sanity, clean up the architecture, and translate them into sensible technical foundations ready for further productization.

This isn't about writing pristine, production-ready enterprise code on day one; it's about closing the gap between a magical prototype and a viable engineering roadmap.

This is an incredible, high-exposure opportunity for a highly adaptable, zero-to-one builder. You will operate in a highly unstructured, high-trust environment, working directly alongside the founder out of his home office. Because of the close, in-person collaboration required for this hybrid setup, you must be located in the Park City, UT area or within a very reasonable commuting distance. To be completely upfront: if you aren't in the area, this role is not for you.

What You'll Do
  • Harden the Vision: You will take the founder's early-stage, "vibe-coded" AI and product demos and refactor them into clean, workable code. You aren't building the final scalable architecture, but you are establishing a solid baseline that the core engineering team can easily digest, evaluate, and build upon.
  • Bridge the Gap: You will act as the ultimate technical translator between the founder's rapid-fire sandbox experiments and the structured execution of the broader product and engineering organization.
  • Embrace the Unstructured: You will navigate a highly fluid, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift daily. You possess a relentless "get shit done" (GSD) mentality.
  • Build Frontend-Heavy Foundations: While you operate seamlessly across the stack, you lean heavily toward the frontend. You'll spend significant time refining UI/UX so the demo's vision truly shines, while still wiring up the necessary backend APIs, cloud integrations, and AI models to make it all functional.
  • Operate with Ultimate Trust: You will work side-by-side with the founder in a unique, highly collaborative hybrid setup. Handling sensitive IP, company strategy, and raw ideas requires absolute discretion, high EQ, and unwavering reliability.

What We Look For
  • Relevant Experience: 4-8+ years of fullstack engineering experience with a strong frontend bias. You are an expert in modern UI frameworks (e.g., React) but dangerous enough across the rest of the stack (Node, Python, AWS) to spin up functional, end-to-end applications from scratch.
  • High-Fidelity Prototyping: You know exactly how to balance speed with quality. You understand when to write quick-and-dirty code to prove a concept, and when to apply just enough structural rigor to ensure a smooth, sensible handoff to the core engineering team.
  • Self-Directed Execution: You are a relentless problem solver who thrives in ambiguity. Give you a whiteboard sketch and a direction, and you will figure out the rest.
  • AI Pragmatism: You are highly comfortable working with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and the latest AI development tooling, understanding how to weave them practically into functional software.
  • Exceptional Professionalism: You have the maturity and communication skills required to work intimately with leadership in a non-traditional, flexible home-office setting.

Nice to Haves
  • Prior experience in a "Hacker in Residence," Founder's Associate, or rapid prototyping capacity at an early-stage startup.
  • A background or strong interest in healthtech, genomics, or precision medicine.

What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
  • Meaningful early-stage equity; you are a true owner.
  • Direct, unfiltered access to leadership and a front-row seat to company building.
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • A highly flexible, non-traditional work environment with incredible autonomy.
