Additional ContextThe Frontend Team at DomainTools is responsible for a React client and a PHP server. This role is primarily focused on working with the PHP server, but engineers will need to work in the full stack.
Job Responsibilities- Write efficient, maintainable, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
- Build and maintain applications using best practices for Laravel (PHP) and React (TypeScript).
- Integrate frontend applications with APIs, backend systems, and databases.
- Contribute to both new product development and enhancement of existing applications.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and design feedback sessions.
- Develop expertise in customer-facing products and platform capabilities.
Requirements- 3+ years of experience developing modern web applications.
- Knowledge of software architecture and experience implementing programming patterns.
- Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
- Strong experience with JavaScript (ES7+) and TypeScript.
- Deep knowledge of:
- Object-oriented, functional, and procedural PHP 7+
- API integration and consumption
- Experience with React 18+ and Redux.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as PHPUnit and Jest.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
- Experience working with Docker or other container technologies.
Pluses- Familiarity with Vite configuration.
- Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms.
- Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with styled-components (or other CSS-in-JS libraries).
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles and frontend usability best practices.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
