Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities
  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a Full Stack Java Development Engineer - AVP, you should have experience:

  • Building full-stack solutions using Java (J2EE), Spring Boot, and ReactJS to deliver scalable, high-performance enterprise applications
  • Designing microservices architectures and apply layered design patterns to address complex, real-world engineering challenges
  • Following good coding standards, unit testing practices, and quality benchmarks to ensure reliable, maintainable, and resilient systems
  • Demonstrating a problem-solving mindset with experience in performance optimization, observability, and resiliency within distributed systems
  • Applying engineering best practices such as Design Patterns, CI/CD, and Test-Driven Development (TDD), while collaborating effectively in agile, cross-functional teams


Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases

Minimum Salary: $120,000

Maximum Salary: $175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
