Full Job Description
You Are:

A hands-on FinOps engineer with 3-5 years of experience spanning cloud financial management and on-premises infrastructure domains-including datacenter, private cloud, storage, network, and databases. You love building data pipelines, configuring FinOps platforms, and producing dashboards that give clients complete, end-to-end visibility across their entire technology estate.

The Work:
  • Build and maintain cost and usage data pipelines for AWS/Azure/GCP and integrate non-cloud sources such as VMware/Hyper-V, Nutanix, SAN/NAS storage arrays, network telemetry (SD-WAN), and enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Configure FinOps platforms (Cloudability, CloudHealth, Flexera One) and BI dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) for multi-domain cost visibility
  • Perform detailed analysis of cloud and on-prem workloads; identify rightsizing, reserved instance, and autoscaling opportunities
  • Execute optimization tactics for datacenter consolidation, private cloud capacity planning, storage tiering, network bandwidth optimization, and database performance tuning
  • Document realized savings and provide actionable recommendations to client stakeholders
  • Develop baseline forecasts and scenario models for cloud and full-stack technologies; monitor variances and update dashboards
  • Support tagging remediation and allocation rules for accurate showback/chargeback
  • Apply cost governance standards in CI/CD pipelines and architecture reviews; ensure compliance with tagging and anomaly detection policies
  • Prepare clear reports and dashboards; present findings to client leads; support workshops and governance forums

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here's What You Need:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in FinOps or cloud financial management; CSP billing datasets
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on exposure to datacenter, private cloud, storage, network, and database technologies
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or Business (or related field) or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Bonus Points If:
  • You hold a FinOps Certified Practitioner credential or CSP foundational cloud certifications
  • You have familiarity with VMware, Nutanix, SAN/NAS storage, SD-WAN/network telemetry, and Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL. Even better if you hold a platform certification.
