Full Job Description
Full Stack Engineer - Frontend

San Carlos, CA (on-site)

Role Overview

As the Full Stack Engineer, you will own the design and execution of all software connecting the physical and digital layers of 1X's global robot operations. From deployment tooling and fleet management to customer interfaces and internal operations platforms, your mission is to create systems that scale seamlessly from hundreds to tens of thousands of robots.

You Will:
  • Own the architecture and implementation of all operational and customer-facing software systems, with a specific focus on high-performance React frontends.
  • Design scalable backends (Node.js/Postgres) to support real-time control, data pipelines, and monitoring for global robot fleets.
  • Build internal platforms that support logistics, manufacturing, and service operations, bridging the gap between raw hardware data and human-usable interfaces.
  • Lead development of customer-facing apps for robot control, monitoring, and management, ensuring a seamless 0-to-100 product lifecycle.

You Might Do Well If:
  • Are a true full-stack engineer who cannot be boxed into "frontend only."
  • Have deep experience with React. We are also open to experts in Vue or those who have mastered "niche" tools like Svelte or htmx.
  • Have a proven track record of taking projects from 0 to 100 with minimal oversight.
  • Have a solid understanding of APIs, cloud architecture, and real-time data pipelines.
  • Have the ability to debug complex systems, dive into production code, and make data-driven technical decisions.

NICE To Have:
  • We value engineers who nerd out on tech. If you're a frontend expert who spends weekends in Rust, or if you have a "weird" project on your GitHub, we want to see it.

Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary Range: $180,000 - $250,000 + Equity
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
