Job Summary:
Seeking a Full Stack Engineer with strong hands-on experience building modern web and AI-enabled applications using React, TypeScript, .NET, Azure SQL, and Azure services. The role combines frontend and backend application development with AI integration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, vector embeddings, and enterprise cloud services. The engineer will design and deliver secure, scalable solutions that integrate application, database, and AI services while applying appropriate security, authorization, grounding, observability, Responsible AI, and performance practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern web and AI-enabled applications using React, TypeScript, .NET, Azure SQL, and Azure services.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET, Microsoft Data API Builder, and appropriate integration patterns.
• Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices.
• Design and optimize Azure SQL databases, queries, stored procedures, and data models.
• Integrate application, database, and AI services into secure and scalable enterprise solutions.
• Design and implement AI-enabled application capabilities using Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry, and RAG patterns.
• Generate, store, and retrieve vector embeddings to support semantic search over structured application data.
• Implement hybrid retrieval strategies that combine deterministic SQL queries and semantic/vector search based on user intent.
• Design prompts and structured model outputs that can be reliably consumed by application and database components.
• Integrate large language models with enterprise data while enforcing security, authorization, grounding, observability, and Responsible AI practices.
• Apply appropriate AI application practices related to grounding, response quality, hallucination risk, security, evaluation, observability, latency, token consumption, and cost.
• Deploy and manage applications using Azure App Service and Azure Functions, selecting appropriate hosting models based on application architecture.
• Configure and manage application connectivity among Data API Builder, Azure SQL, and Microsoft Foundry.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated application, database, and infrastructure deployments.
• Manage application configuration, secrets, managed identities, service connections, and environment-specific settings.
• Monitor application, API, database, and AI workload health, performance, reliability, security, latency, and cost.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and other developers.
• Deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives and technical standards.

Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience developing web applications using React, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and REST API integration.
• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using .NET/C#.
• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, backend services, service integrations, and secure application architectures.
• Experience with object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with Microsoft Data API Builder or similar database-backed API technologies.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Microsoft Foundry or another enterprise LLM platform.
• 1+ year of experience implementing RAG, semantic search, vector search, or comparable grounded AI patterns.
• 1+ year of experience with prompt engineering, structured model outputs, and integrating LLM responses into application workflows.
• 1+ year of experience addressing AI application concerns including grounding, hallucination mitigation, security, evaluation, observability, latency, token consumption, and cost.
• 1+ year of experience testing and evaluating AI-enabled application behavior, including nondeterministic model responses, retrieval quality, grounding, and regression scenarios.
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions within Azure, including hands-on experience with Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Storage Services, Application Insights, and Microsoft Foundry.
• 3+ years of experience working with Azure SQL Database, including relational database schema design, SQL development, performance tuning, database migrations, and data integration.
• Strong understanding of vector embeddings, vector similarity search, and semantic retrieval, with experience applying these capabilities to relational or enterprise data.
• 1+ year of experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools within the software development lifecycle, including AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, and requirements generation.
• Experience validating and reviewing AI-generated code and technical artifacts.
• Ability to effectively engineer prompts and workflows to improve development productivity and software quality.
• 1+ year of experience with Git-based source control systems.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• 1+ year of experience creating automated unit and integration tests.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced Azure and cloud experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or comparable technologies.
• Experience defining or implementing enterprise Responsible AI and AI governance standards, controls, and processes.
• Experience implementing AI agents, tool-calling workflows, or agentic orchestration patterns.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Experience with automated security scanning and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with observability platforms and application performance monitoring.
• Experience designing distributed and event-driven architectures.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.
• Experience contributing to enterprise architecture and engineering standards.
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
