Overview Casey's Store Support Center is seeking a full-time Fuel Driver Supervisor to join the Transportation team in the Ilinois/Indiana area! The Fuel Driver Supervisor is a key leadership role on the Fuel Transportation Team. The Fuel Driver Supervisor supervises day-to-day transportation operations to ensure driver performance and department objectives for safety, efficiency, reliability and productivity are met or exceeded.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of Fuel Transportation drivers. Responsible for all hiring, training, performance management, and corrective actions.
- Conduct regular and random visits to all working areas to ensure drivers understand expectations, are practicing good driving habits, and are following all Casey's policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the dispatch teams to ensure a high level of operational efficiencies exist between dispatch and driver teams.
- Assist Safety Manager in all aspects of driver safety and drive all safety coaching opportunities with driver teams identified through LYTX.
- Collaborate directly with Supply group to drive increased revenue by executing on supply plan, ensuring contract compliance, and fulfilling Bio Diesel splash blending and ethanol backhauls.
- Lead driver qualification status; such as physicals, driver license renewals and driving records according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Performs new team member orientation and helps develop and maintain materials for the orientation.
- Investigates accidents to identify the cause and to determine prevention methods.
Starting pay range: $74,200- 97,300. Actual pay may vary based on Casey's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
Requirements - Knowledge of state motor vehicle laws and licensing requirements.
- Understanding of safety policies and procedures in regards to transportation.
- 1 year of previous supervisory experience.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.
- Work is performed in an office setting 25% - 50% of the time.
- Travel is required 50% - 75% of the time.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have the physical ability to drive a vehicle for job related travel.
- Must have 24/7 on-call availability.
- Ideally live in central/southern Illinois.
