Full Job Description
FSO Tax Accountant, Tax, Indirect Tax (State and Local Tax) (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1734508), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.

Analyze an evolving partnership state tax portfolio of complex operations to provide meaningful business insights. Identify potential opportunities and risks to communicate to clients. Develop clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients' partnership state tax activities. Support and develop staff's overall growth and knowledge, communicate with clients regarding open items, issues and follow-up items, detail review compliance work related to state tax extensions, quarterly estimates, schedule K-1 packages and state tax returns (partnership).

Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities in state taxation and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law or related field and 4 years of work experience.

Must have 4 years in state and local Income/Franchise tax compliance, including process and project management.

Must have 4 years of experience in managing budgets, people and projects.

Must have 4 years of experience at a professional services company or in-house experience in a real estate or asset management company.

Must have 4 years of experience in Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, and/or Premium Pro.

Must have 2 years of experience in income/franchise tax rules that apply to the real estate industry.

Must have a CPA certification, US state bar membership, or Enrolled Agent Certification.
