Summary:
Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle's Eastsidewelcomes you to lead with our Front Office Team, as our Assistant Front Office Manager. Here you will have an opportunity to be instrumental in the guest and colleague experience, leading our Front Office colleagues.

The Assistant Front Office Manager reports to the Front Office Manager and assists with the leadership and daily operation of the Front Office division. This includes the Front Desk, Guest Services, Bell, and Concierge operations, as well as close coordination with parking, valet, door, and Security teams.

This role is highly involved in the day-to-day operation of the hotel and serves as a visible, accessible, and service-focused leader for guests and colleagues. The Assistant Front Office Manager will also serve as the hotel Manager on Duty, supporting the overall hotel operation, responding to operational needs, and ensuring a seamless guest experience across departments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, colleague-focused leader who understands that exceptional customer service is paramount. Duties include:
  • Assist the Front Office Manager with the daily leadership and operation of the Front Office division.
  • Provide oversight of Front Desk, Guest Services, Bell, and Concierge operations.
  • Serve as the hotel Manager on Duty, assuming responsibility for hotel operations, guest satisfaction, colleague support, and issue resolution during assigned shifts.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence in the lobby and throughout the hotel.
  • Ensure that guests receive warm, efficient, personalized, and consistent service throughout their stay.
  • Respond to guest concerns, service recovery opportunities, and operational challenges with urgency, empathy, and sound judgment.
  • Empower colleagues to resolve guest needs and provide exceptional customer service within established guidelines.
  • Partner closely with parking, valet, door, and Security teams to support a safe, seamless, and welcoming arrival and departure experience.
  • Liaise with Security regarding incidents, investigations, emergency response, safety concerns, and other matters affecting guests, colleagues, or hotel operations.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food and Beverage, Events, Sales, and other departments to deliver a seamless hotel experience.
  • Support the scheduling, staffing, deployment, and daily productivity of Front Office and Guest Services colleagues.
  • Monitor operational flow, arrivals, departures, room availability, VIPs, groups, special requests, and anticipated service challenges.
  • Assist with cash handling, banking, audit controls, posting accuracy, guest adjustments, and other Front Office financial procedures.
  • Support the Front Office Manager with payroll, timekeeping, reporting, forecasting, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, and colleague development.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and accountable work environment that strengthens colleague engagement and overall team satisfaction.
  • Model Hyatt's values and enterprise leadership expectations in all interactions with guests, colleagues, leaders, and business partners.

  • Participate in Front Office meetings, hotel leadership meetings, training programs, operational projects, and property initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of Hyatt standards, policies, procedures, systems, and safety requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, overnight shifts, and other schedules based on the needs of the hotel.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by hotel leadership.

The salary range for this position is $80,180.00 to $88,200.00. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications, and education.

  • Minimum of one year of previous Front Office, Guest Services, or hotel supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a full-service or luxury hotel environment preferred.
