We are seeking to hire candidates for our Front-End Software Engineer (3075). Opening Date: 08/18/2026 Closing Date: 08/25/2026 Job Grade: SAM 38 Salary Range: $73,164.00-$91,442.00 OVERALL DESCRIPTION We are seeking a talented Front-End Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-quality user interfaces for our web applications. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and technical implementation, taking wireframes and translating them into responsive, interactive, and performant code. You will collaborate closely with our backend team to consume RESTful APIs and ensure a seamless, asynchronous end-user experience. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develop Us: Build robust and reusable UI components using modern frontend frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue. 2. Style Interfaces: Craft highly responsive and pixel-perfect layouts using utility-first or component-based CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap. 3. Design Collaboration: Work directly from Figma design files to accurately extract asset specs, layout variables, and interactive prototypes. 4. Inclusive Engineering: Build and maintain web applications that comply with web accessibility (WCAG) standards to ensure an inclusive user experience. 5. Data Integration: Connect client-side applications to complex data layers by consuming both standard RESTful APIs and flexible GraphQL endpoints. 6. Optimize Performance: Ensure web applications are highly optimized for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. 7. Collaborate Daily: Partner with UI/UX designers and backend developers (utilizing environments like Laravel, Node.js, or similar architectures) to scope and refine new application features. 8. Ensure Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while executing unit tests to ensure stability. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - B.A. or B.S. Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and three (3) to five (5) years of software engineering experience. . - An equivalent combination of experience and education (i.e., two (2) years of related experience, equating to one (1) year of formal post high school education) may be considered in lieu of the above requirement. - Core Languages: Strong proficiency in core web technologies including JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3. - Frontend Frameworks: 2+ years of production experience with Angular (v14+) or adjacent frameworks like React or Vue.js. - CSS Ecosystem: Expert-level knowledge of utility/responsive frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap, along with CSS preprocessors like SASS/SCSS. - Asynchronous Integration: Deep understanding of handling asynchronous HTTP requests, data serialization, and state tracking (e.g., via RxJS, NgRx, Axios, or native Fetch). - Backend Awareness: Direct experience interacting with standard RESTful structures typically served by frameworks like Laravel, Express, or Django. - Design System Workflows: Direct experience working with Figma or similar (inspecting layouts, exporting assets, and understanding design systems). - Accessibility Compliance: Strong understanding of semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, and testing for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. - Version Control: Proficient handling of code management workflows via Git and platform ecosystems like GitHub or GitLab. - This role requires 100% on-site work in Philadelphia, PA.
