A leading global law firm is seeking a Franchise Paralegal to join its Corporate, Finance, and Transactions Groups. The role supports attorneys across all aspects of franchise law compliance, documentation, and operations.
The Franchise Paralegal will be responsible for preparing and updating annual Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) in compliance with FTC and state regulations, managing state franchise registrations, renewals, and exemptions, and maintaining compliance calendars and regulatory records. On the transactional side, the role involves drafting and revising franchise agreements, amendments, and termination documentation; supporting due diligence in franchise sales, transfers, and acquisitions; and serving as a point of contact for franchisees on compliance matters.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree and 3-7+ years of experience in franchise law, corporate law, or regulatory compliance, ideally gained in a law firm or in-house legal department. Basic knowledge of corporate governance and entity formation is required; M&A experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. Salary ranges vary by location: Chicago ($100,000-$118,000), Denver ($90,000-$115,000), Irvine/Santa Monica/Los Angeles ($110,000-$140,000), New York ($110,000-$140,000), and Seattle ($105,000-$130,000).
