Full Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to join Facktor and help lead the continued growth of our consulting services focused on healthcare operations, organizational effectiveness, and performance improvement. Facktor partners with mission-driven organizations - including Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), hospitals, health plans, medical groups, academic programs, IPAs, and foundations - to help them deliver high-quality, sustainable care. We meet clients where they are, offering hands-on, customized support to solve operational challenges, strengthen financial performance, and scale impact.

The Operations Director will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and lead complex, high-profile engagements from planning through implementation. This role will advise healthcare organizations on operational strategy, workforce optimization, process improvement, change management, and organizational performance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of FQHC operations expertise, leadership capability, and project management acumen, with a proven ability to partner with executive leaders, lead teams, and drive measurable results.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the continued evolution and expansion of Facktor's operations consulting division. In addition to leading client engagements, the Director will contribute to business development, service line innovation, thought leadership, and internal initiatives that support Facktor's long-term growth and impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead interim COO engagements, serving as the acting COO for client organizations.
  • Provide hands-on operational leadership, partner with executive teams and stakeholders, and drive execution on organizational priorities to ensure continuity, stability, and progress.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to client organizations on operational strategy, best practice, and methodology.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Experience with core FQHC operational and administrative functions including: front office & registration, back-office and nursing, referrals, health information technology, and information systems & outpatient software systems. Preferred candidates will have experience with Epic, athenaOne, eClinicalWorks, and/or NextGen.
  • Experience working with C-suite & other senior healthcare leaders to achieve strategic goals.

As a senior consultant you will fulfill the following responsibilities for a client in an interim or in a project-based capacity:
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance quality of care, patient safety, and clinical outcomes through process improvement and evidence-based practices.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Client Relations: Establishes and maintains client relationships in good standing. Has the trust and respect of clients. Able to facilitate client meetings independently and think strategically about addressing client needs with minimal support.

  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems, healthcare informatics, and data analytics preferred.

SCHEDULE: Full-Time

SALARY RANGE: $150,000-$200,000
