What Impact You'll Have

We are looking for a mid-career to senior FPGA engineer with experience designing, testing, implementing, and optimizing creative solutions on a variety of complex digital hardware systems. You will combine your background in engineering hardware implementations with your knowledge of radio frequency (RF) data and digital processing techniques as part of a collaborative and spirited development team. Your work will be crucial to developing and improving our existing product line of tools and software that bring the art of the impossible into the hands of the DoD and Intelligence Community users.

What You'll be Owning
  • Lead and participate in the design of solutions and refinement of existing products to create innovative and cutting-edge solutions to big DoD and IC problems.
  • Research and implement models, techniques, technologies, and methods to improve existing hardware implementation.
  • Create new solutions by implementing advance signal processing techniques in hardware for real-time solutions.
  • Document and present results to a variety of users and stakeholders.
  • Help build high-performing teams by mentoring team members and providing development opportunities to increase their technical skills and knowledge.

What You Must Have
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience. (A combination of years of experience & professional certifications/trainings can be used in lieu of years of experience).
  • Demonstrated experience using COTS statistical software (Verilog, VHDL).
  • Experience integrating FPGA designs with embedded processors, SoCs, DSPs, and external hardware components.
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design, finite state machines (FSMs), pipelining, and clock domain crossing (CDC) techniques.
  • Knowledge of FPGA debugging techniques including use of Integrated Logic Analyzers (ILA), SignalTap, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers.
  • Self-motivated and self-driven for independent work while also demonstrating strong collaboration skills in teams of diverse backgrounds.
  • Possess effective communications skills; capable of providing highly detailed information in an easy-to-understand format and diligence in documentation of all phases of product development.

What Would be Nice to Have
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience developing and working with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML).
  • Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) tools such as Vitis HLS, Intel HLS, or MATLAB HDL Coder.
  • Proficiency in Python, Tcl, Perl, or scripting languages for automation, testing, and build processes.
  • Experience with embedded Linux, real-time operating systems (RTOS), or bare-metal software development.
  • Familiarity with ARM-based SoCs, Zynq, Versal, Intel SoC FPGAs, or heterogeneous computing platforms.
  • Experience designing for functional safety, reliability, fault tolerance, or radiation-hardened applications.
  • Familiarity with networking and telecommunications standards and architectures and hardware security.
