FPGA Engineer

Position Summary

This onsite role supports FPGA design and verification for defense products at a Raytheon facility. The engineer will support development from requirements through integration and test.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and verify VHDL FPGA designs
  • Support Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi device families
  • Design for high-speed serial, RF/EO DSP, controls, data links, and processor interfaces
  • Work with systems and circuit card teams on requirements, architecture, modeling, and implementation
  • Perform simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and verification activities
  • Support integration, troubleshooting, and test

Required Qualifications
  • VHDL FPGA design experience
  • Experience with simulation, synthesis, timing, and place-and-route
  • Experience with FPGA verification and hardware integration
  • Experience working with digital hardware, circuit cards, or embedded interfaces
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Xilinx, Altera, and/or Microsemi experience
  • High-speed serial, RF, DSP, EO, data link, or processor interface experience
  • Aerospace, defense, or complex hardware experience
