Job Description

The FPA Systems and Reporting Analyst performs reporting and data analysis for revenue cycle leadership and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. In addition, this individual oversees the development, monitoring and generation of reports related to all areas of revenue cycle. S/he may also act as liaison between Central Billing Office, Finance, IT and other departments as related to revenue cycle metrics, systems and results. The Analyst assists users with moderate to complex reports upon request.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares and analyzes financial reports and statements to represent current and projected financial status.

2. Provides maintenance of monthly operating reports and dashboards with performance metrics and KPIs.

3. Maintains a detailed knowledge of current core systems (Epic, GE Centricity eIDX, GE Centricity IDX, BI Informatics) and all bolt-on software solution (MPV, Claim Manager) and any additional system as needed.

4. Assists with the summarization, recording and reporting of financial transactions related to financial reporting, accounts receivable and financial reporting (internal).

5. Participates as lead resource in internal and external meetings to help explain data or which data are relevant for business need.

6. Collaborates with CBO management, department administrators and billing manager in relationship-building and works to achieve a high degree of client satisfaction.

7. Performs analysis to identify reimbursement trends, as well as address specific revenue cycle question.

8. Participates in various FPA/CBO projects and handles specific reporting/analysis initiatives as the project lead.

9. Assists senior staff with projects and presentations of routine financial information.

10. Other duties as assigned

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $87,692.00 - $131,538.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
