Position Description

The FP&A Analyst supports annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across multiple departments. This role performs variance analysis, partners with cross-functional teams on planning and forecasting, and supports capital expenditure planning and budget tracking. The FP&A Analyst combines strong analytical skills with clear communication to help departments understand and manage their financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for multiple departments.
  • Compares actual results to forecasts and budgets, identifies variances, determines root causes, and prepares monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to support annual planning and forecasting.
  • Assists with capital expenditure planning and tracks project spending against approved budgets.

  • Delivers accurate, timely variance analysis and reporting.
  • Identifies clear, well supported explanations for budget and forecast deviations.
  • Builds strong working relationships with cross-functional partners across departments.
  • Tracks capital project spending closely against approved budgets.

Position Requirements

This Position Requires the Following Skills and Attributes
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
  • Brings three to five years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
  • Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interacts effectively with staff at varying levels of the organization.
  • Applies strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Brings accounting experience and knowledge.
  • Communicates clearly in written and verbal formats.
