Position Overview

Fusion Innovation is seeking a mid-level Foundations and Collections Subject Matter Expert to provide instruction and expertise in GEOINT collection requirements, strategies, and management processes. The successful candidate will apply practical intelligence-community experience to support the development and delivery of relevant, mission-focused instruction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction on GEOINT collection requirements, strategies, and management processes.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on the Request for Information (RFI) Management Cycle.
  • Instruct personnel on GEOINT collection management principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Develop, review, and update instructional materials to reflect current mission requirements and operational practices.
  • Incorporate real-world collection management experience into classroom instruction, exercises, and practical applications.
  • Explain the relationship between GEOINT collection activities and the broader intelligence profession.
  • Support instruction involving imagery analysis, geospatial analysis, and all-source collection management.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, program personnel, and other subject-matter experts to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Evaluate learner understanding and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving GEOINT systems, methodologies, data sources, and collection strategies.


Required Skills

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is desired.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with GEOINT collection requirements and strategies.
  • Experience with the RFI Management Cycle and GEOINT collection management.
  • Strong understanding of the intelligence profession and associated mission processes.
  • Exposure to imagery analysis, geospatial analysis, and all-source collection management.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and operational concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.


Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of the GEOINT Information Management System (GIMS).
  • Familiarity with the Strategy Designer application and Automated Strategy Theory.
  • Exposure to JEMA, MIST, and all-source data feeds.
  • Previous experience delivering intelligence-related instruction or developing training materials.
  • Experience working in a collaborative instructional or mission-support environment.


Additional Details

Fusion Innovation anticipates the annual base salary for this position will generally range from $100,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to:

  • Years of direct applicable experience with this work and the Customer
  • Relevant education, certifications, and training
  • Contract labor category requirements, skill level, contract bill rate, and hours allocation
  • Alignment with the position's responsibilities
  • Additional specialized skills


In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be considered for discretionary bonuses and are eligible for Fusion Innovation's comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, company-sponsored retirement contributions, paid leave, professional development opportunities, and other employee benefits.
