Full Job Description

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Team Engineering Lead to join our team in Denver. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with two days in the office and three days working remotely.

Opening Date: 14/09/2026

End Date: 12/10/2026

We're looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of customer implementations from end to end. Working within a customer-facing delivery pod, you'll lead the development and delivery of solutions while remaining deeply involved in the code.

You'll collaborate closely with Delivery teams, Business SMEs, and engineering colleagues across the UK, US, and offshore delivery partners to ensure successful, high-quality outcomes for customers.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the technical execution of customer engagements, covering integration, configuration, data mapping, front-end and back-end development, testing, deployment, and early-life support. You'll shape the technical approach, break down and prioritise work, guide delivery within the wider architecture, review code and solutions, and ensure the pod remains aligned and focused on delivering value.

This is not a people management role. Instead, it's an opportunity for an experienced technical leader who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring others through delivery, and staying hands-on with modern full-stack development.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of customer implementations, including integrations, data flows, full-stack development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Define and drive the technical approach for delivery within the established architecture and engineering standards.
  • Ensure high-quality solutions through code reviews, testing, and deployment best practices.
  • Lead and mentor a distributed team of engineers across the UK, US, and offshore delivery partners.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable, deliverable technical solutions, working closely with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate directly with customers on integrations, environments, data migration, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including those impacting live customer environments.
  • Identify opportunities to create reusable patterns and improvements that enhance the wider platform.
  • Provide technical guidance, challenge requirements where needed, and ensure successful delivery of customer outcomes.

We tend to look for people with:

Essential:

  • APIs, services, and data-driven applications.
  • Experience leading small engineering teams or delivery pods, including planning and prioritising work, reviewing technical output, and taking ownership of successful delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies and practices, including containers, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring/observability.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems and working with complex customer environments, data structures, and third-party platforms.
  • Confident engaging with customers and stakeholders, facilitating technical discussions, presenting solutions, and providing trusted technical guidance.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed or offshore engineering teams, including defining requirements and reviewing delivered work.
  • Able to balance short-term customer needs with long-term scalability, maintainability, and product objectives.

Desirable

  • Experience working within implementation engineering, professional services, customer delivery, or forward-deployed engineering teams.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled products or solutions, including areas such as workflow automation, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, or human-in-the-loop design.
  • Background in business process outsourcing (BPO), shared services, finance, or business transformation environments.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting engineers, helping them develop technical knowledge and succeed in new domains or technologies.

What’s in it for you?

We offer a competitive salary, bonus & benefits

The base salary range is $150,000 - $170,000 based on the level of experience

A few benefits our employees enjoy:
