Full Job Description
Summary:

The Forward Deployed Program Manager is responsible for the operational management, coordination, and continuous improvement of Moder's Forward Deployment Program, supporting both the Forward Deployment Engineer (Delta) and Deployment Strategist (Echo) career tracks. This role ensures the successful execution of multiple concurrent hiring cohorts by managing program logistics, onboarding coordination, workforce analytics, stakeholder communications, and employee engagement initiatives. Serving as the operational hub for the program, the Forward Deployed Program Manager partners closely with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Delivery Leadership, People Operations, and external recruiting partners to ensure hiring classes launch successfully, onboarding experiences are seamless, and program objectives are achieved. This position plays a critical role in developing scalable processes that support the continued growth of Moder's AI delivery organization while fostering a collaborative and engaging employee experience.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Logistics & Coordination
  • Own day-to-day logistics for each FDE hiring class and cohort - scheduling, onboarding logistics, class calendars, and coordination across Recruiting, Training, and Delivery stakeholders.
  • Keep the moving pieces of the FDE hiring timeline on track across Fast Forward (Classes 1 and 3) and the Experienced FDE track (Class 2), flagging anything at risk of slipping against milestone dates.
  • Serve as the point of contact for new hires before and during onboarding, making sure Week 1 runs smoothly and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Coordinate logistics with third-party staffing and recruiting partners so day-to-day handoffs stay clean, even where partner reliability has been a concern.

Attrition & Hiring Monitoring
  • Track hiring funnel metrics across each class - applications, interviews, offers, acceptances, and conversion rates - and flag anything putting a class start date at risk.
  • Monitor attrition across the FDE and Deployment Strategist population, spotting trends early and surfacing them to program leadership before they become retention problems.
  • Maintain regular reporting on hiring velocity and attrition risk for program stakeholders, in a format leadership can act on quickly.
  • Keep pipeline data accurate and current in partnership with recruiting and staffing partners.

Culture & Team Experience
  • Plan and run team events, outings, and lunches that build real cohesion across FDE cohorts and tenured team members - not just calendar filler.
  • Own the informal side of onboarding - the parts of the first 90 days that make a new hire feel like part of a team, beyond the formal training curriculum.
  • Build traditions and rituals that keep a growing, multi-cohort program feeling like one team as it scales.
  • Gather informal read on morale and culture across cohorts and feed what you hear back to program leadership.

Cross-Program Support
  • Act as a central point of contact across Recruiting, Training, and Delivery stakeholders to keep the FDE program's moving parts synchronized.
  • Support ad hoc program initiatives and events as they come up - for example, leadership summit logistics or new cohort launch activities.

Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports but may provide guidance, leadership, or training to others.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, people operations, project management, or a related operational role.
  • Experience working in or closely with technology or AI-related organizations - you understand how technical teams hire, ramp, and operate, even if you're not technical yourself.
  • Strong organizational and logistics skills - comfortable owning multiple concurrent timelines without dropping details.
  • Experience tracking hiring or attrition metrics, even informally, and turning them into something leadership can act on.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for building team culture - you understand what actually builds cohesion, not just how to schedule an event.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable coordinating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating inside a program that is still being defined - process gaps are something you fill, not something you wait to be told to fix.

Preferred
  • Hands-on exposure to Palantir Foundry, AIP, or a comparable enterprise platform - not required, but valuable given the technical audience this role supports.
  • Background supporting a Forward Deployed Engineer / FDSE-style program, technical training program, or cohort-based onboarding model.
