About the RoleThis is a high-ownership engineering role at an early-stage healthtech startup building an AI-powered payer compliance platform for procedure-heavy medical specialties. You'll own the integration layer between the platform and real-world provider and insurance systems, sitting close to both the founding team and clients to turn complex healthcare workflows into clean technical solutions.
What You'll Do- Build and maintain integrations with provider practices and insurance systems using APIs, web scrapers, and RPA tooling as needed.
- Join client discovery sessions with founders to map workflows and translate them into clear technical requirements.
- Ship custom integrations quickly and iterate based on real-world feedback from live deployments.
- Contribute to the core product when integration work isn't the bottleneck.
- Develop deep working knowledge of the US provider/payer landscape.
What We're Looking For- 2-5 years of full-stack engineering experience building and shipping production features.
- Startup background with experience owning features or products end-to-end in small teams, from discovery through delivery.
- Proven ability to integrate with third-party APIs.
- Proficiency in Python and FastAPI (or equivalent backend framework) and React + TypeScript (or equivalent frontend).
- Active, hands-on use of AI coding tools - with real shipped production work to show for it.
- Strong communication skills; able to clearly articulate technical problems and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Nice to have: experience building web scrapers or RPA solutions; AWS or GCP infrastructure experience; production LLM application development; prior work in US healthcare or with provider/payer systems.
