Wage: $51.67 Essential Job Duties: - Determine boundary and road layout for future harvesting.
- Ensure all protocols and best practices are followed including working alone, wildlife safety, environmental safety, health management, and safe operation of equipment.
- Assess and document riparian features in accordance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
- Traverse proposed boundary and road alignments to support accurate map creation.
- Collect crossing and site plan data.
- Identify and stratify ecological site types.
- Map, identify, and document logging and operational hazards.
- Complete road engineering estimates and conduct appraisal data field surveys.
- Remote camping and wilderness exploration.
- Complete timber reconnaissance and stand level timber type stratification.
- Assist timber cruisers with field data collection and verification.
- Ensure field camps meet or exceed company standards and occupational health and safety (OH&S) requirements.
- Comply with applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Spectrum and Wright Canada Holdings culture of safety and employee ownership.
Other Duties:- Position will require travel to, from and between work sites.
- During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
- Operate trucks and ATVs.

- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain organization of equipment before, during, and after shifts, as required.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements:(The minimum level of education obtained, certifications held, or experience in years acceptable for the role.)
- Post-secondary education in natural resources, forestry or a related field
- 1 year of Forestry-related experience
Other Preferred Requirements: (driver's license, CDL, pesticide or herbicide license, CPR or first-aid certified)
- A valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License, or equivalent, and a current Driver's Abstract
- Preference may be given to candidates holding a valid BC Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification, or equivalent
