Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Forensic Management Chief to join our team in Linthicum, MD.

The Forensic Management Chief serves as the lead for all forensic examination activities, providing direct management and technical oversight to forensic examination personnel. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead laboratory ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation efforts, and maintain direct technical alignment with Government leadership.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the lead for all forensic examination activities, providing direct management and technical oversight to forensic examination personnel.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the Government regarding all forensic examination tasks.
  • Proactively alert Government leadership to potential technical, programmatic, or resource limitation issues.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks and laboratory activities are accomplished in accordance with task requirements.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possession of at least one active certification: DC3 Cyber Training Academy Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), or an equivalent certification approved by the COR.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on experience in conducting host-based forensic examinations across multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five years in a leadership or supervisory role managing forensic analysts, assigning cases, and performing technical peer review of forensic reports.
  • Demonstrated experience within the last three years supporting a laboratory accredited under ISO/IEC 17025, including SOP development, internal audits, and quality assurance procedures.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on experience in conducting host-based forensic examinations across multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five years in a leadership or supervisory role managing forensic analysts, assigning cases, and performing technical peer review of forensic reports.
  • Demonstrated experience within the last three years supporting a laboratory accredited under ISO/IEC 17025, including SOP development, internal audits, and quality assurance procedures.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience communicating complex technical findings to Government leadership and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with experience guiding dynamic forensic laboratory environments. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to drive quality management initiatives across teams.


Clearance Requirements:
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $128,800.00-$214,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
