This position reports to:Sales Manager, Force Measurement
In this role you will use your experience and drive to build enduring customer relationships through excellent service.
You will be accountable for sales of ABB's Force Measurements product portfolio that consists of tension systems for pulp and paper industry, rolling mill force sensors, industrial weighing systems for melt shops, mining and miscellaneous industrial applications, driving sales volumes and margins.
The work model for the role is:
Hybrid role with a 50-70% travel requirement and preferred home location in Portage/Gary or Indianapolis, IN, or Chicago, IL.Your role and responsibilities:- Develop and increase sales of Force Measurement in assigned territories
- Collaborate with engineering team to develop customized solutions for FM product
- Collaborating with other departments to prepare bids, gather technical specifications and financial accuracy
- Working with the wider sales team to identify and develop new market opportunities
- Understanding the customers' needs and ABB's solutions to determine effective solutions
- Monitoring customer and market trends along with the marketing team to develop effective marketing activities
Qualifications for the role- Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of experience or an Associates Degree and 8+ years of experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12+ years of experience is required. Applicable job experience in sales, sales support, maintenance or operations is required.
- Knowledge or understanding of mechanical and electrical industrial equipment is required. Knowledge and understanding of automation or process control in either the Paper or Metals market is preferred
- The proven ability to develop and manage customer accounts, along with a team focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel Travel 50-70% in assigned territory for customer visits and presentations
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually and is bonus eligible.
