Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the FSQA Director the primary responsibility is for development, implementation monitoring and enforcement of the established corporate quality management systems that will assure food safety and quality of all products. The manager will manage the Quality Assurance function, including the direct supervision of the Quality Assurance & Sanitation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Development, management, and monitoring of plant Quality Management System.
  • Daily review and management of quality records related to quality activities in an effective and confidential manner.
  • Creation of all raw material and finished product specifications.
  • Manage the sanitation functions for processing, warehousing, distribution, and offices.
  • Manage environmental monitoring programs including Listeria and potable water.
  • Manage finished product pathogen monitoring program.
  • Manage shelf-life program including design and implementation.
  • Manage vendor certification program with Quality Director to ensure raw material suppliers meet quality expectations including policy and program development and vendor audit scheduling and criteria.
  • Work with R&D on new product launches or reformulations offering laboratory support as needed.
  • Daily monitoring and maintenance of plant temperature monitoring devices.
  • Maintain and manage finished product testing equipment including necessary calibrations.
  • Ensures plant compliance to Company policies and procedures. Formulates and maintains Quality Control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
  • Develops and implements plans to support continuous improvements in quality, safety, cost, and service.
  • Facilitates quality improvement meetings with cross-functional plant teams to analyze current quality performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement, manage, and facilitate a formal plan of an Inter-Departmental Internal Quality Audit Program, to include the development of an Inter-Departmental Quality Audit Team.
  • Manages information regarding quality performance. Reviews, analyzes, and distributes the information to Management, and spearheads collaborative corrective actions.
  • Ensures plant compliance with customer's quality and food safety requirements.
  • Ensures plant compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Facilitates quality audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Specifically in the areas of quality systems and food safety.
  • Assist in the strategic planning process for the Uptown, including development of QA business plans.
  • Maintain communication with appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all company and customer proprietary information and systems including but not limited to processing technologies, standard operating procedures, formulas, financial information, and company strategies.

US Salary Pay Range

$85,000-$105,000 USD
