JOB DESCRIPTION

Food & Nutritional Services Director

Job Schedule: Full-Time

Wage Range: $33.32-$47.63/hourly

Job Summary: Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

How you'll contribute:

To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,
    administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
  • Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality stand-ards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
