This is an on-site position and requires in-person work at one of our clinic locations (Mount Vernon, Oak Harbor, Bellingham, Everett, or Mountlake Terrace).

About the Program:

At Sunrise Services we believe in the integration of services to treat the whole person. Our Behavioral Health program provides a wide-range of outpatient behavioral health care services to address patient needs; whether it be substance use, depression or anxiety, the first stages of dementia, or more acute, severe mental illness.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage Clinical Supervisors. Interview, hire, orient, train, assign, evaluate, and manage performance.


  • Manage outpatient clinical treatment, emphasizing a positive approach that promotes self-directed care, respect, recovery, and hope.


  • Develop appropriate short term and long term objectives, strategies, and standards for Behavioral Health clinical operations.


  • Identify and direct staff training for clinicians, Clinical Supervisors and Directors.


  • Coordinate and direct maintenance of services with community and regulatory agencies such as North Sound Mental Health Administration (NSMHA), Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, (DSHS), county government agencies, the courts, and others.


  • Work with BH Executive Administrator, and Associate Director to develop and ensure new services are in line with DSHS, NSMAH, and other government agencies rules and regulations.


  • Be responsible for the implementation of the new services. Analyze the contract requirements to conceptualize systems for continuously meeting those obligations.


  • Perform, manage, and/or delegate the design aspects of new systems including staffing levels, credentials, methods, training and performance management standards.


  • Direct and conduct clinical assessments as needed, and provide direct clinical treatment and support services to clients. Monitor and document client's response to clinical interventions.


  • Provide crisis intervention and consultation by phone as needed.


  • Direct, coordinate, attend, and participate in psychiatric consultations, as necessary.


Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

  • Education: Master's degree in behavioral science or related field; and meet educational and training requirements for designation as a Mental Health Professional.


  • Experience: Five years of experience in a Behavioral Health Care setting, including supervisory and/or management experience in a mental health setting, and significant experience with adults with persistent and complex mental health issues. Experience working with adults who have chemical dependency issues.


  • Licensure/Certification: Washington State LMHC, LMFT, LICSW or equivalent required.


  • Other Considerations:


  • DSHS background clearance required.


  • Current valid Washington State Driver's License.


  • Skill using Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated leadership ability.


  • Flexible. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in challenging dynamic situations including behavioral and staffing issues.


  • Skill in reading, synthesizing, and acting upon multifaceted information.


Compensation:
  • $35 - $45/hr
  • All wages depend on applicable experience, license, and education.


Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
