Full Job Description
The position serves as the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Mission Systems Laboratory Infrastructure Technical Lead within the Digital Systems Team of the Joint Strike Fighter Program. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, this role functions as the Subject Matter Expert for FMS laboratory testing activities-particularly supporting Israel and Singapore-focused on F-35 air system modifications required for FMS System Development and Demonstration. Responsible for providing insight for the JSF Program Management Office into FMS Laboratory Integration requirements, capabilities, designs, risks, mitigation plans, and overall status.Provides technical advice and recommendations regarding JSF FMS laboratory and test simulation development to the JSF Mission Systems Lead, FMS Country Lead System Engineers, FMS Country Program Manager and IPT leads as needed.Provides research and insight into laboratory processes, requirements, systems design, development, integration, verification and validation, and modeling and simulation issues related to FMS laboratories.Provides evaluations of FMS laboratory development technical performance, risk assessment and mitigation, and schedule and budget performance.Responds to technical queries regarding FMS Laboratory activities and capabilities.Coordinates technical tasks between FMS, JSF contractors, JSFPO support contractors, and government field activities.Evaluates FMS prime contractor-provided laboratory development documentation.Evaluates FMS contractor proposals and Basis of Estimates related to F-35 laboratory development.Rapidly evaluates and reports on the impacts of emergent requirements and issues.Provides expertise in hardware, software, network, and simulation architectures supporting both hardware-in-the-loop and man-in-the-loop capabilities.Provides expertise in System Engineering processes and evaluations of FMS lab processes and procedures.Serve as FMS lab liaison with other F-35 Joint Program Office IPTs, and the prime contractor.Liaises and coordinates with JPO entities and DoD Intelligence Centers (DIA/MSIC, NASIC, and ONI) regarding threat models and data that will be required for F-35 FMS Laboratory Development.Supports prime contractor, JSFPO, and government field activity meetings and presentations involving frequent travel to contractor and JSFPO locations.Provides formal and informal documentation of findings in the form of emails, briefings, and reports.Provides frequent informal status reports to JSFPO in the form of email and spoken communications.Reviews TAA's, RFI's and Press Releases for releasability.Provide subject matter support to the JSF ID SCP/FMS Program Manager, Security Assistance Program Manager (SAPM), as required for the execution of all FMS JSF LOAs.The Security Cooperation Workforce Development Program (SCWDP) requires Foundational certification within two years.Technical Project Management ExperienceExperience with Microsoft Office ProductsMinimum of five years DoD acquisition experience in airborne weapons systems/munitionsExperience developing System Integration Facilities/system Integration Laboratories (SIF/SILs)Bachelor's degree in engineering or another applicable technical fieldUp to 25% travel with potential to travel overseasSecret Security clearance RequiredClick the apply button to complete an application and upload resume (PDF or Word Doc) and/or additional documents (Transcripts, certifications, Vet Docs (DD214), SF-50).
